Updated November 2026
Huntsville's Veterans Day Parade returns downtown on Wednesday, Nov. 11, with a new route this year. Before the parade, you can catch the pre-parade show on Monroe Street or spend time in Big Spring Park, and festivities and displays continue in the park afterward. In a city with deep ties to Redstone Arsenal and the military community, it's one of the most meaningful days on the local calendar.
Plan Your Parade Day
- When: Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026
- Where: Downtown Huntsville, on a new route for 2026
- Before the parade: The pre-parade show on Monroe Street, or time in Big Spring Park
- After the parade: Festivities and displays in Big Spring Park
Check the Veterans Day Parade and Events of North Alabama site for the official route map, start time, and road closures before you head downtown. With a new route this year, it's worth a look.
Tips for the Day
- Arrive early. Downtown parking fills quickly on parade day.
- Bring layers. November mornings can be chilly, even when afternoons warm up.
- Make it a downtown day. Grab lunch nearby and stay for the festivities in Big Spring Park.
Other Ways to Say Thank You
